FRIENDS and family of Hayley Dowdell came together to run the Bristol 10k to raise money in her memory.

Hayley, of Weston, died aged 27 of cystic fibrosis, a debilitating condition which affects the lungs and digestive system.

More than 75 people ran for LoveCreate, a charity set up to raise money to help fight cystic fibrosis and to buy equipment for ward 54 at the Bristol Royal Infirmary where Hayley was treated.

The next fundraising event will be the LoveCreate Festival of music, arts and crafts, which will be held on the Grand Pier on July 14. The festival is being held to raise awareness and money in memory of Hayley.
