THE family of a retired Weston nurse have set up a bench in one of the town's nursing home in her memory and to give thanks for the staff's hard work.

Pam Broom died, aged 90, in December and as a tribute, her family bought a bench which was placed in the garden of Ellenborough nursing home, in Neva Road, where Pam also lived.

Pam, who was a mother to five children, retired from nursing in 1985 and understood the demands on carers leading her to volunteer in a hospital shop in Taunton.
