Animals and a fire engine were taken along to a family fun day in St Georges.

The event was held at the community centre, in Willow Close, and provided stalls and games for people to enjoy.

Children could get up close to some owls and exotic animals, including lizards and snakes.

There was also an inflatable slide, and people had the chance to chat to firemen and look inside a fire engine.

The event was raising money to give people in St Georges who will be alone at Christmas the chance to enjoy a free roast dinner in December.
