THE summer months are the perfect time for outdoor fun and games, and people in Kingston Seymour enjoyed an array of sporting activities in the fields near Back Lane.

The village’s annual sports weekend saw several friendly sporting competitions take place across two days, with lots of prizes on offer.

The sunny Saturday afternoon saw a fancy dress competition taking place, which was followed shortly afterwards by a series of traditional races. These included obstacles courses and sack racing.

Children were also invited to play with craft materials throughout the afternoon, in order to submit an entry to the event’s craft competition. Other activities on offer included face-painting, guessing games and a children’s tombola.

Acoustic duo The Chicken Teddies provided entertainment in the form of live music on the Saturday evening, while a cricket match on the Sunday afternoon was enjoyed by all ages.
