A GROUP which puts on events for youngsters and their families to spread the word about preventing child abuse has announced its line-up of summer activities.

No Secrets is putting on a holiday activity club for those aged under 16 at Barcode in South Parade from 10am-2pm every third Saturday of the month throughout the holidays.

There will also be a free family photographer today (Thurs) from noon to 2pm at Barcode and a children’s talent competition from 11am-2pm on Saturday at the same venue.

Entry is free and will be open to those aged three to eight, nine to 16 and over 17.

A family disco party will be held at the venue every Tuesday, costing £1 per child from 3-6pm.

Organiser Christine Western said: “Our not-for-profit group safeguards children, prevents abuse and brings together families and children.”

The group will also hold a public awareness meeting in October aimed at spreading the word about sexual abuse and bullying.
