A WESTON family have earned themselves £150 by adopting a healthier lifestyle.

Winner Amy Taylor received supermarket vouchers after signing up for North Somerset Council’s Smokefree Family Life Programme, run with assistance from the Quit charity.

The initiative has been rolled out across nine primary schools and gets youngsters to learn about the dangers of smoking from an early age.

It gets parents involved too, and Amy won the prize along with her son Harrison, who attends Ashcombe Primary School.

She said: “I have smoked for many years and I am really hoping to quit and use the stop-smoking services.

“Harrison had the presentation in school and came home telling me what was happening to my body because of the smoking. He really wants me to give up.

“I want Harrison to know the dangers and not to ever smoke.”
