Hundreds of pounds have been added to the campaign to restore Weston-super-Mare’s Birnbeck Pier, after a concert in aid of the Birnbeck Regeneration Trust took place in Hutton.

The Barry Walsh Band performed at the village hall, in Main Road, and raised £500 for the trust.

A trust spokesman praised and thanked everyone who helped out on the night for their efforts.

The spokesman said: “The Barry Walsh Band supplied a fantastic evening of entertainment (but) without our hardworking and dedicated team of volunteers, these events could not take place.”
