A fashion show which will celebrate individuality and ‘being yourself’ will be held in Kewstoke this weekend.

Weston Hair Studio has teamed up with The Beauty Spot and Weston Pride to put on an unforgettable night to raise money for the summer event.

Studio owner Adam Thomas, aged 30, said the catwalk show will celebrate all shapes and sizes and the charity which ‘helped (him) so much’.

He added: “I am a gay man and we still live in a society which does not completely accept it.

“It would be lovely to get to a day without being labelled and putting people in boxes.

“You still have to ‘come out’ to people now but it should just be about the person you fall in love with.

“Pride has shown me I can just be who I want to be.”

The show will be held in the village hall in Crookes Lane at 6.30pm.

Weston Pride will take place in Grove Park, in High Street, on July 28-29.
