A festival will be held in Weston-super-Mare next month to promote mental health services.

The Warriors of Wellbeing will host a Feel Good Festival in the Italian Gardens at 11am on May 19.

More than 20 charities will attend to signpost people to their services.

Warriors of Wellbeing member Stephen Budd said: “Mental Health Awareness Week is also an opportunity to promote mental wellbeing.

“We all have mental health and too often the label of mental illness carries a stigma.

“By promoting wellbeing we hope to give a positive message about what we can all do to look after ourselves.”

Consultant psychiatrist Dr Tiff Earle will have her head shaved on stage at the event to raise funds for a Magic Table for dementia patients at mental health charity Headlight.
