A SUMMER fete in Berrow almost did not go ahead after organised thought it was going to be a flop.
St Mary's summer fete was held last month, after members of the congregation heard of the cancellation and decided the show must go on.
Last minute preparations were made, donations collected and marquees were put up in time for the crowds to enjoy the event on August 25.
Stalls included books, toys and a treasure hunt table set up by people from The Helicopter Museum in Weston.
