Film competition launched

AMATEUR and professional film makers are being called on to enter videos of the British coastline for a national competition.

British Coast Guide has launched the contest to find the best short film of the country’s coastline, and is turning its sights on the Weston district for contestants.

Director Tom Wakefield said: This competition offers a chance to amateur and professional film makers to use their skills to present an aspect of the Weston coastline to a wide audience.”

Entries will be loaded on to the county pages of the, and the public will be able to vote for their favourite video.

Winners will receive £1,000 in vouchers to spend on camera and film equipment.
