Film crews are in Weston-super-Mare and are believed to be working on a Channel 4 docu-drama about the murder of Daniel Morgan.

Daniel Morgan’s murder in 1989 has most recently been the subject of a highly successful podcast called Untold, and the Mercury understands a crew is filming a 50-minute documentary about it using Weston locations.

The Borough Arms, in Locking Road, has been covered with a new sign for the The Golden Lion, the pub where Mr Morgan was killed in Kent.

Other locations used include the police station and old magistrates court in Walliscote Road.

A sign saying Catford Police Station was put onto the building, and this is the name of the station where police carried out investigations into Mr Morgan’s murder.

The show is likely to be called Who Killed Daniel Morgan, and will run for 50 minutes on Channel 4. It is being produced by Indefinite Films.
