Fire crews were called to tackle an incident at a property in Weston-super-Mare last night (Monday).

Two crews from Weston Fire Station attended a fire at around 8.10pm, which had started at a three-storey building in Baker Street.

A woman aged in her 20s and a young child were outside the property when crews arrived at the scene, who were both uninjured.

A high pressure hose reel was used to put out a small fire in the lounge before ventilation fans were then used to clear the property of smoke.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by police.
