FIRE crews put out a blaze in a farmer's barn in Banwell in the early hours of this morning (Fri).

Three fire engines from Weston were called to Whitley Head at about 5.30am, where they found a fire involving a tractor in the barn.

The barn also contained stored corn and propane gas cylinders, but the cylinders were not affected by the fire.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus and 10 litres of foam to douse the fire, which is believed to have started accidentally.
