FIREFIGHTERS were called to a hairdressers in Wedmore today (Friday) after staff reported flooding from a ceiling in the property.

A crew from Cheddar attended the call from The Hair Barn in The Borough shortly after 9am, by which point staff had isolated the building’s water supply, but flooding was still continuing to affect the business’ electrics.

Shortly after arriving and carrying out an inspection, the firefighters began to isolate the building’s electrics, after confirming the leak was coming from a header tank located on a higher level of the premises.

Once isolated, the crew aided staff salvaging items and cleaning up, and then left the building in the care of the hairdressers’ staff.
