Fire crews called to free 8-month-old baby from locked car

Firefighters were called upon in Somerset today (Thursday) when a baby was locked in a car.

Devon and Somerset Rescue Service crews from Burnham-on-Sea were called at around 1.10pm to a baby locked inside a car at Golf Links Mews, near Burnham and Berrow Golf Club.

A spokesman from the service said crews worked quickly with the owner of the vehicle to remove the eight-month-old baby.

However, the vehicle did need to be broken in to, in order to ensure the baby was removed unharmed.
