Firefighters awarded for long service

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue

TWO members of the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were presented with awards for serving the organisation for more than two decades.

Firefighter Stephan Hand and crew manager Keith Hellier, both from Burnham, were awarded with a medal for long service and good conduct.

The ceremony was held for members of the fire and rescue service who had served for more than 20 years. Mr Hand and Mr Hellier were presented with their certificates and awards by the lord lieutenant for Devon, Eric Dancer, along with chief fire officer Lee Howell and authority chairman Cllr Mark Healey.
