Multiple fire crews were called to a property in Wedmore (yesterday) after a shed fire spread to a house, with some firefighters suffering heat exhaustion due to the weather.

Fire crews from Cheddar, Glastonbury and Street were in attendance, before further help was requested from Burnham-on-Sea due to the hot weather.

Firefighters first attended the property in Mudgley Lane at around midday and the fire was finally under control at around 4.15pm.

As well as this, police and the ambulance service were also in attendance as four firefighters had to be assessed by paramedics due to heat exhaustion.
