THE owners of a fireworks factory which was razed to the ground in a massive blaze are looking to move to a new site in Clevedon.Bosses at Firemagic have submitted plans to manufacture and store explosives at the Old Quarry Yard, Norton's Wood Lane, Clevedon.Its previous premises at Kenn Court Business Park was razed to the ground last year with 70 firefighters being drafted in to fight the towering inferno.The blaze completely destroyed the two units used by Firemagic and badly damaged a neighbouring unit occupied by Bristol Classic Cars and Sports Cars Limited and destroyed classic cars.The large explosion was heard for miles around with people hearing a massive bang as far away as Nailsea and Portishead.Firefighters had to wait 45 minutes for all the fireworks to go off before they attempted to tackle the blaze.Investigators put the cause of the blaze down to accidental ignition.Plans to move the company's operations to Norton's Wood Lane have now been submitted to North Somerset Council.
