First Bus has made changes to its services in Yatton.

People in Yatton have been assured any possible future changes to the village’s bus services will be discussed with the community before going ahead.

Many villagers raised concerns that changes to First Bus services in the area, which came into effect last month, would leave people isolated as buses will no longer fully travel along the High Street.

However, Yatton’s PACT group said at a meeting on October 4 that First had since promised to discuss possible future changes with PACT and the parish council in advance.

PACT member Jonathan Edwards told the meeting: “The bottom line – and the most important thing – is that parish councillors and PACT can now meet First to discuss changes before they happen.”
