About 50 young carers were invited to a festival at Worle Community School.

It was the first such event for carers, and was organised by Carers Trust Phoenix.

There was live music, birds of prey and archery for the secondary-aged children.

Dawn Hancock, schools co-ordinator at Young Carers, said: “Our aim is to make this event the first of many and for it to grow every year.”
