Five rushed to hospital after crash

Five people have been taken to hospital after a collision in Sandford.

Police, three ambulances and a helicopter were called to the junction of Churchill Road at about 11.10am this morning (Saturday) to respond to reports that a car had collided with a wall.

Two people were taken to Weston General Hospital while three others were taken to Bristol Royal Infirmary and Southmead hospitals.

None of the casualties are thought to have suffered severe injuries.
