Weston-super-Mare has been blessed with some beautiful weather recently, but now it is time to start thinking about what to do during the weekend. Fresh from the excitement of Hazy Days, Weston is proving to be the place to be over the summer months, with a host of exciting events accompanying the sunshine.

Here are five things to do in Weston and its surrounding area this weekend.

– The Grand Pier will host The Mad Hatter’s Summer Ball on Saturday.

The Alice In Wonderland-themed event will start at 8pm and tickets, priced £34.50, will include a cocktail reception, a three-course meal, a live band and disco.

– Head to Loves Café on Saturday evening for a night of inspiration as Dan Jeffries is set to give a talk about his book Me, Myself and Eye: A Memoir.

The book is about his struggle through life having been diagnosed with two rare medical conditions.

He will share his experiences at Loves Café, in West Street, at 7pm.

– The Conservative Club, in Alexandra Parade, will host a charity skittles evening on Saturday at 7.30pm.

The tournament is in aid of children’s charity Springboard, which supports children with learning difficulties and their families.

– A garden party in Milton could be the perfect event for you this Saturday.

It will raise money for Worle Lions Club at Windsor Castle, in Upper Bristol Road on Sunday from 3pm.

Tickets, priced £5, include a cream tea and there will also be prosecco available.

– If sport is your thing, you can experience a cricket festival in Uphill.

The cricket club, in Bridgwater Road, will host the Cricketfest on Saturday at noon.

But there will be something for everyone on the day. There will be two games of cricket, a barbecue, disco and live music from Pretty Soul in the evening.
