WESTON Town Council experienced the flavour of the Orient when some special guests visited.
A group of Japanese politicians came to look at how parish councils operate, how they involve citizens in decision making and reach out to the community.
The group was met at Grove House by Weston's mayor, Councillor John Ley-Morgan, town council leader Keith Morris, Cllr Priestman and town clerk Linda Larter.
The visitors then had lunch at Weston College, followed by a tour of Barcode Youth Cafe in South Parade and the Blakehay Theatre in Wadham Street, before heading back to London.
