WHILE flood water across the district has subsided following Sunday and Monday's deluges, problems persist in one area.

The pond in Summer Lane, Locking Castle has burst its sides and flood waters have overspilled into nearby roads, pathways and grassland.

Summer Lane, Elmham Way and land behind the Morrisons supermarket have all been affected.

The extreme rainfall which fell from 8am on Sunday to 8am on Monday caused flooding problems across North Somerset, but the flood waters have disappeared or are disappearing in most places.
