Flooding in village

PUBLISHED: 12:30 07 August 2012

COUNCILLORS say a blocked drain in Kewstoke is causing flooding outside the village hall in Crookes Lane.

Members of the parish council said at the most recent meeting that villagers will not use the pavement for fear of ‘getting drowned by water’.

They say the drain is either blocked or has collapsed and it is also causing damage to the wall nearby.

Clerk Colin Hill says North Somerset Council promised the problem would be sorted by July.
