USAIN Bolt proved his prize-winning credentials at a Somerset flower show at the weekend - although he was made out of straw.

The sculpture by Max Scantlebury was one of many on display at the 34th Compton Bishop and Crook Peak flower and vegetable show.

There were prizes available in all sorts of categories at the event in the Memorial Hall in Webbington Road, Cross.

Beautiful floral centrepieces provided lots of colour and children turned vegetables into animals in a bid to take first prize.
