STAFF at a pub in Worle have been celebrating after winning an award for its floral decorations.

Carol Bramley, from the Nut Tree Pub in Ebdon Road, was presented with a certificate and garden centre vouchers as part of the Flower Power awards.

The awards, which recognised efforts made by pubs, hotels and tourist attractions to be bright and colourful, were presented on December 10 at Daunceys Hotel in Claremont Crescent, Weston.

The scheme has been running for four years and is organised by the Blue Skies Accomodation Standards Group.

This year's awards were sponsored by Weston Town Council, Clevedon Town Council, Doubleton Farm in Hewish, Sanders GardenWorld in Brent Knoll, Banwell Garden Centre, and the Blue Skies Clevedon Tourism group.
