WESTON Foodbank is now up and running and volunteers are ready to dish out dinners to struggling families.

The charity, which is based at the Lighthouse Cafe in Beach Road, has been set up to give much-needed support to people in Weston who do not know where their next meal is going to come from.

Struggling families will be given vouchers which they can swap at the foodbank for emergency food boxes with three days’ worth of nutritionally-balanced tinned and dried food.

Weston Foodbank will be open from 3.30-5.30pm on Mondays and from noon to 2pm on Fridays.
