A TOTAL of £2,026 was raised by Broad Community Trust for Marie Curie and Children’s Hospice South West.

Weston United and Axbridge Town enjoyed a 10-10 draw in one of two charity football matches refereed by Premier League official Ron Ganfield, before the former won the tie on penalties at Banwell Football Club.

An auction, with lots including a signed Ricky Hatton boxing glove and picture, pushed the total past £2,000.
