Four motorcyclists in eight-vehicle pile-up

FOUR motorcyclists were involved in a large accident at the weekend.

Fire fighters from Weston and Burnham were called to the pile-up outside the Hobbs Boat Inn, Lympsham, on Sunday afternoon.

Numerous casualties needed medical attention and one person needed to be released with the fire service’s help.

Eight vehicles were involved in the crash, which happened shortly after 5pm.

Initially some injuries were thought to be life-threatening, but are no longer believed to be so.
