A MAN from Uphill shaved off all his flowing locks, in recognition of the support of a charity after he and his partner lost their baby in pregnancy.
Fred Brent and Kayleigh Brooks were forced to terminate their unborn baby after 21 weeks in December after abnormalities were discovered, and the 19-year-old says the support of the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity (SANDS) was invaluable as they came to terms with their loss.
The Beach End Road resident vowed to raise funds for the charity, and is already halfway up to his target of £700.
Fred, who is expected a child with Kayleigh in November, said: “SANDS talked to us after we lost the baby, and helped us get through it, they were really helpful so I thought I’d give something back to them.”
