DONATIONS to the RNLI's latest campaign will allow volunteers to get cars sparkling thanks to a generous contribution.

DONATIONS to the RNLI's latest campaign will allow volunteers to get cars sparkling thanks to a generous contribution.

Managing director of Trafalgar Automotive Cleaning Chemicals Ltd, Chris Waller, has given the Burnham lifeboat station an array of professional cleaning products to help with the charity carwashes.

An RNLI spokesman said: "Using the proper equipment and chemicals means we can give our customers a much better service."

After hosing down 45 cars on Saturday and raising £350, volunteers are now gearing up for the next Soap Our Saloons carwash on February 6 from 10am-2pm at Burnham lifeboat station.

The Burnham team, who save lives at sea by providing a 24-hour search and rescue service, aim to spruce up as many cars as possible in return for a donation.
