The hardy souls were braving the cold waters as part of a sponsored sea dip to raise money for hovercraft charity Burnham Area Rescue Boat (BARB) and the Coastguard Association.

BARB chairman Mark Newman said: “Many thanks go to all those brave people who took part - this was a great opportunity to work off the excesses of Christmas while raising money for a good cause.”
