WESTON Hospicecare is calling on local ladies to help keep patients pain free.

The hospice is hosting the annual Not the Midnight Beachwalk to raise money for the cause.

They aim to raise £33,000 to keep 10 people pain-free for 10 days in the hospice’s in-patient unit.

Ladies are asked to walk either 5km or 10km along the beach.

Weston Hospicecare is asking grandmothers, mothers, aunts, sisters and daughters to help comfort someone with a life-limiting illness this summer simply by having fun with your friends.

This year’s beach walk will be on September 14 at 9pm.

If you would like to join this year and be part of something great, then registrations are open now at www.midnightbeachwalk.org.uk, call 01934 423960 or pick up a leaflet in any of Weston Hospicecare’s shops.

It costs just £9 per adult and £5 for accompanied under-16s.
