WESTON'S budding photographers braved high winds to capture the huge waves caused by impressive storms this week - but some photos submitted to iwitness show the sad sight of Birnbeck Pier looking close to collapse.

Carol Jadzia submitted lots of pictures of Birnbeck after the latest round of harsh storms had battered it, but she also submitted some of the structure once the worst of the storms had passed.
Eddy Coles and Jackie Caven had their cameras handy when they spotted some stunning wildlife and Roger Fry even got the chance to see the impressive sight of the starling murmuration.
