VOLUNTEERS and public sector workers stood side-by-side at the Winter Gardens in a colourful celebration of what wonderful activities and services they offer all year round.

School cooks, charity workers and clog dangers were all on view at the dynamic Your North Somerset show which entertained hundreds of spectators who attended last weekend.

The annual free event, organised by North Somerset Council, offered kids and parents alike a chance to interact with those in the community and provide not only a taster session, but also a chance to bond.

Sam Dimmock, from the Brandon Trust, helped choreograph a 15-minute routine and said everyone was delighted to be able to take part.

But as well as being a visual spectacle, many visitors took the opportunity to get messy with henna tattoos and art classes keeping them all occupied and entertained.
