EASTER egg hunts, arts and crafts plus a whole lot more took place as hundreds of people enjoyed events put on over the sunny bank holiday weekend.

In Weston town centre, people young and old were searching for chocolate eggs outside the Sovereign Shopping Centre.

Weston businesses also joined in the fun, with Asda staff helping youngsters make and decorate Easter cards.

Pupils made Easter hats at several schools before the holidays, while children’s clubs also held special events.

Bunny ears were donned as Claverham Preschool’s children headed to Cleeve Village Hall for some Easter activities. The fundraiser made £300 for the preschool as about 50 youngsters had to solve clues to find where the chocolate eggs were hidden.

More than 200 people visited Marine Cove in Burnham on April 4 for some Easter fun too.

The Friends of Marine Cove, Morrisons and Sedgemoor District Council worked together to put on craft events, with the children decorating tasty biscuits, enjoying an Easter egg hunt and making colourful bonnets.

Villagers also united for egg hunts in Locking and Brent Knoll.
