MORE than 400 people flocked to Yatton for an inaugural music festival on Saturday afternoon.
MRNFest welcomed young musical performers from across North Somerset to perform in front of a live audience, while providing plenty of other events for people to get their teeth stuck into.
As well as listening to soloists and bands, workshops allowed visitors to have a go at playing various instruments too – including a ukulele.
A bouncy castle, barbecue and candy floss stand were also very popular at Hangstones Pavilion.
Organiser Jean Deacon, from the Mid Rural Network which co-ordinates activities for children and teenagers, said: “It went really well and seeing it’s the first time we ran the event we weren’t sure how it would go.
“We had lots of families come along to enjoy the music.
“The feedback is that people want it to be held next year again. We are now going to look and see if we can get some sponsorship from businesses, as it needs to be sustainable.”
