Cheddar Watersports and Bristol Corinthian Yacht Club welcomed people of all ages to try out sailing, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and wind surfing.

The open day was part of the Royal Yachting Association’s Push The Boat Out event.

Commodore Will Rhodes said: “We are delighted with the huge amount of interest we had from everyone who turned up.

“The club was buzzing and everyone was smiling and laughing. It was a great atmosphere.”

Club secretary Alice Allen said: “We had around 130 people come and have a go, which is double what we had last year.

“We had super conditions and everybody got involved.

“There was a massive variety of people coming to have a go, from young children to grandparents.”
