FLOATS carrying pirates and the Men In Black rolled into a Somerset town this weekend.
It was in aid of Axbridge’s annual Blackberry Fair and carnival, and the theme was movie mania.
Different clubs and societies all dressed up to mark the occasion, with the Axbridge Chamber of Commerce arriving as Pirates of the Caribbean and the 1st Axbridge Brownies donning suits and dark sunglasses as the Men In Black.
The carnival queen and princesses led the procession, followed by mayors from Weston, Burnham and Glastonbury.
The Town Trust provided an array of funfair amusements in The Square, including bumper cars, which were available for people to enjoy the whole weekend.
The Blackberry Fair has been an event in the town for more than 50 years, held every September to coincide with the traditional berry picking season.
