IN PICTURES: Runners take on Two Bays Tough Ten

Temperatures dropped below zero on Sunday when more than 600 runners took on the difficult 10-mile route along Weston seafront and Sand Bay.

But despite the sunshine, the organisers were keen to include a muddy element to the popular course.

Race director Roland Gibbard said: “It went really well and we had fantastic weather.

“It was a bit icy up in Worlebury Woods but everybody seemed to enjoy themselves.

“We did have a little surprise in store for our runners and made a diversion in the woods for a muddy section.”

The organisers also hosted its Friendly Five, a five-mile route which was set up last year, and a one-mile fun run.
