THE seafront was awash with pink when hundreds of women took to the seafront to raise money for a good cause.
Mothers, daughters and grandmothers wore the colourful outfits as they ran, jogged or walked the 5k course on the beach for Race For Life, which raises money for Cancer Research UK.
Lisa Sweeting, event manager for Race For Life in Weston, said: “Thank you to all the wonderful ladies and their supporters who came to Race for Life this year at Weston. It was a fabulous fun packed day and I’m sure one that everyone will remember.
“The great news is over 1,500 ladies took part which will ensure that our life-saving research can continue and that together we will beat cancer sooner.”
Cancer Research UK’s Race For Life, in partnership with Tesco, raises millions of pounds every year to help defeat cancer by funding life-saving research.
