WESTON beach looked pretty in pink when more than 1,370 women took part in the annual Race For Life.
On Sunday, despite the windy weather the seafront was transformed into a colourful display of pyjamas, leg-warmers and novelty wigs as willing runners got ready at the starting line.
Cancer Research UK hopes the event will raise £131,000 through sponsorship to help fund potentially life-saving research.
Mums, daughters, grandmothers and friends ran 5km or 10km while donned with face paint and pink tutus.
Sunday’s efforts compare favourably to last year’s event, when Weston women managed to raise £93,000 for the cause.
