NORTH Somerset has been bathed in a beautiful crisp white blanket this morning (Fri) after heavy snow fell overnight.

While it has caused about 60 schools to close and huge problems on the roads, the child-like love of the white powder has proved irresistible to photographers.

Readers have sent in dozens of pictures to our photo website weston.iwitness24.co.uk and the very best are available from the link on the right-hand side.

And if you have some you would like to share, upload them to the site and you could find yours in next week’s paper.

Click on the link at the top right of the page to see our photographer’s pictures of the snow.
