MORRIS dancers, bouncy castles and a jazz band packed a village on Monday for its annual May Fair.

Youngsters enjoyed fancy dress and face painting while the Chalice Morris Men put on a show outside the Coronation Hall in Coronation Road, Bleadon.

There were also stalls selling cakes, arts and crafts, plus a busy barbecue and fun-packed games for the young and the young at heart.

People came from far and wide despite the poor weather.

Bleadon Parish Council chairman Penny Skelley said: “It was a grand day. It is wonderful that so many people came to see what is going on in the village.”
