KITES of many different shapes, sizes and colours took to the skies at the weekend as part of the Weston Kite Festival.
The event, held on the seafront, gave people the chance to watch sport kites in choreographed routines, as well as giant animal and sea creature kites.
Children were also given the opportunity to make their own kites on the Grand Pier.
Event organiser Avril Baker said: “I would like to give a big thank you to everyone involved with the weekend’s Kite Festival from our supporters, traders, flyers and of course the public who came along to watch.
“It was a wonderful weekend with sun, blue skies and lots of wind, at times too much for some of the kites, but everyone worked hard to put on a really good show. We hope to be back again next year.”
