EVERYTHING from Chinese food to college artwork and glitter tattoos to theatrical performances were on offer at Sunday’s Your North Somerset event.

The community showcase, held at the Winter Gardens in Weston, is in its eighth year as some of the finest organisations and groups in the region displayed the great work they do.

More than 100 stands represented various causes such as the RNLI and the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, as well as key bodies such as NHS North Somerset and Avon and Somerset Constabulary.

A great deal of emphasis was also put on having fun too, as well as education.

British, Bangladeshi and Chinese cuisine was available at a food tasting booth while there were several fun activities for the children to get involved in, including a soft play area and a crafts section.

The North Somerset Council organised event also saw Desi Georgieva and Annabelle Zinn win a competition run by the authority and so they scooped an iPad, Kindle and free gym memberships. All were donated by First and Parkwood Leisure.
