THIS patch of land near to Weston railway station has been transformed by a Weston College student after her success in a competition.

Claire Allard-Morgan won the art design project competition to create a sculpture to stand on the land next to Station Road after members of the public voted for her wave-based entry.

A garden has also been built to go with the sculpture, and it will be judged by Weston in Bloom judges next week.

Gardener Mark Walker, who organised the competition along with the college and Weston in Bloom, said: “The idea was to create something which summed Weston up, and I think Claire’s entry did, the wave really chimed with members of the public.”
