A PARTY was held to welcome a group of German teenagers who visited Weston for the first time.
The visit was part of Weston and Hildesheim Youth Exchange, which has been running for more than 30 years.
Weston has been twinned with the German city of Hildesheim since 1983.
The party was held at the YMCA building in Bristol Road Lower last week.
The 32 students listened to music and played games of pool before spending the rest of the week in the town.
Organiser Susan Harding said: “It has been really successful. They have had a wonderful time in Weston.
“It has been a really good trip and everybody thoroughly enjoyed it.
“For the German youngsters, it is very important for them to be able to speak English and be able to improve their English.
“We were lucky again to have lovely host families for them.”
